Sweet Experience

Just a short message today as we are transitioning to our new assignment. We said our goodbyes last Sunday to friends in the Greenfield Park ward and met with missionaries in our Chomedey Branch. We have checked out the new apartment which is larger than our tiny apartment here and we are sorting through what to take from this apartment as it will be closed down for missionaries.

On Thursday, after our usual temple shift, we met up with our friend, Mark, at the temple grounds. We invited him to meet with us there so that we could give him a little outside tour of the grounds and talk about what we do in the temple. Mark is close to being ready for these sacred experiences and we wanted to give him some extra encouragement. It turned out to be the nicest weather of the week. The sun was shining, and it was not even very cold. As we walked around the temple, we pointed out the rooms from the outside and gave brief explanations about each room. He asked many good questions, and we felt like we gave him the information he needed. Mark’s anxieties go up and down and sometimes he can’t meet with us, but on Thursday he felt great. We could see his excitement and the spirit was so strong with him. He told us that he felt like everything in his life is coming together and he knows the way forward now. It was such a sweet time to share with him and to witness the growth he has made over the last several months. We promised to be at the temple with him when he is ready to make covenants with God. Even if we are not here anymore, we will find a way to be there for him. The tulips were poking up out of the ground. I hope we can meet him again at this sacred place when flowers are still blooming.

Au revoir,

The Glenns
